Colours of Barranco

Not really worthy of a blog post but today we walked around Barranco where we are staying and I tried to capture some of the amazing colours and street art.

The Barranco area is regarded as a very Peruvian area of the city, made up of charming colonial houses with intricate wooden verandas painted in an array of colours.

In 2015 they began a contemporary art competition called ‘the walls speak’ and the result is vibrant murals everywhere you turn! My pictures don’t do it justice and I could have walked up and down the streets all day but the girls wanted to hit the beach!!!

We leave Lima tomorrow, heading to higher ground!
