And so the adventure begins!

Well the day finally arrived! I think I’ve been in a bit of a blur this last week with all the last minute organising, school activities and goodbyes to friends and family! So just a quick summary of the longest day ever!!!!(so Molly tells me!) Up early all dashing around getting washed and ready to go…savouring that last cup of PGtips! Got to the airport with lots time, started our new airport game spotting people with strange clothes/belonging….winner goes to the lady in front of us taking a gigantic twisted antelope horn through security ๐Ÿ˜ณย

Virgin flight was lovely, unfortunately didn’t get told to turn left as we got on the plane! note to self…need to book children’s meals! Although good to know Daisy likes terriaki chicken ๐Ÿ‘Š

Time passed by well, lots of movies and games played! Girls were great! On arrival at San Francisco the security border checking was pretty intense and took about an hour and a half to get through. Well after fingerprints and mug shots we were allowed in!

Highlight…got to car rental and they must have taken pitty on us, with our three big bags and two super tired children! (Daisy was starting to loose the plot at this point!!!) free upgrade!!!! Dens a happy boy, can’t tell you what it is as I’m starting to loose brain function and after a long drive up to Bodega Bay I’m not sneaking outside in the dark now!

Girls have fallen into bed…and den and I have just eaten some toast with “budder” (butter) that we managed to pick up at a store on route!

Pooped and off to bed!

Night all!

xxxx

Lovely to see your post on waking this morning. You have made it, first day of your travels begins. Sounds exhausting but so exciting. Glad Den was happy with his upgrade and I bet that was the best toast and ‘budder’ ever…. enjoy your first round the world trip sleep. Much love The Hills x X X x
